Korean Traditional Day 1 (광복절, 추석)

1. 광복절

 

August 15th is the National Liberation Day of Korea. 

It celebrates Korea's liberation form Japan. Many Korean sacriticed thier lives, dreaming of liberation. So we also commemorate the sacrifice of these Koreans.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2. 추석

 

Chuseok, also known as hangawi, is the Korean Thanksgiving Day.

Chuseok is August 15 on the lunar calender. This means the date of Chuseok changes every year.

During Chuseok, we visit our hometown and gather with our family members and relatives. 

We pay respect to the sprits of our ancestors and eat delicious food.
